Icom IC-GM1600E marine VHF handheld device is specially designed for survival craft communication that meets GMDSS requirements. The radio is carefully designed to survive and operate normally under extreme environmental conditions common in maritime emergencies, and to bring the latest search and rescue technology to the market. The shock-proof shell of the GM1600 is made of bright dye-infused polymer to ensure that this emergency equipment can be easily found in life bags, life rafts, or anywhere else that needs to be found quickly.
Meet the strict environmental requirements of GMDSS
IC-GM1600E meets the requirements of temperature, thermal shock, anti-vibration and anti-drop (1 meter height). After passing these environmental tests, IC-GM1600E retains the 1-meter-depth waterproof structure specified by IMO resolution MSC.149 (77) and other relevant regulations.
