High output power
TM-281A has an output of 65 watts – the RF power you need to work in the field – with high/low output power. It also comes standard with a handheld microphone.
LCD display and lighting button
Clear amber LCD display provides 32 levels of brightness control, making it suitable for any ambient lighting conditions. It can display up to 6 large alphanumeric characters. The front panel keyboard can also be illuminated for ease of use.
Large oval speakers (58 x 35 mm) mounted on the front ensure that every message is heard loudly and clearly.
The transmit and receive frequencies can be stored separately for each channel. Memory data can also be edited and stored on the computer.
Multiple scanning functions
Standard modes are VFO Scan, Memory Scan, Call Scan, Audio/CTCSS Scan, and DCS Scan – with TO (Timed Operation), CO (Carrier Operation), and Search Scan Restart Mode. The priority channel can also be checked every 3 seconds by priority scanning.
The built-in CTCSS and DCS encoder/decoder covers 42 CTCSS sub-tone frequencies and 104 DCS sub-tone frequencies.
