On August 15th, telecom operator Vodafone announced the opening of Germany's first 5G network in Berlin. Berlin residents can use 5G network services in Adlershof Technology Park. At present, Vodafone has launched 40 5G mobile base stations in Berlin, Frankfurt, Solingen, Duisburg and Bremen, and will start 10 more by the end of August. By then, more cities and regions will have 5G signals. Vandafeng Group CEO Hannes Ametsreiter said: "Until the end of this year, 500,000 Vodafone users will enjoy 5G network speed. Vodafone Group will continue to expand 5G network engineering, and it is expected that by the end of 2020, Vodafone will have 10 million 5G signal users. By the end of 2021, the number of 5G users will double to 20 million."
At present, Germany has more than 60 5G signal towers, distributed in 20 cities, they will become the first cities in Germany to be covered by 5G signals.
