Hytera Presented A Solution For The Convergence Of PMR And LTE Technologies At The Russian International Petroleum Youth Forum

Date:Jul 19, 2019

The International Petroleum Youth Forum was held from July 9th to July 15th in Almetyevsk, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. Industry experts from Russia and neighboring countries, young oil professionals and scientists participated in the forum to discuss the development of the oil and gas industry. Hytera demonstrated its blend of Private Mobile Radio (PMR) and Long Term Evolution (LTE) technologies at its booth during the forum.

Highlights are the Hytera PTC760 and PTC680 multimode radios, which are Sepura's TETRA standard explosion-proof two-way radio, attracting visitors to Russia's Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

In 2018, Tatneft, one of Russia's largest oil companies, was equipped with more than 1,200 Hytera multimode radios. The main requirement of Tatneft in this project is to ensure that the monitoring staff implements the work plan. To this end, Hytera provides Tatneft with a converged solution for PMR and LTE networks: Hytera's multimode radio PTC760 and Android's portable two-way radio software that works in both LTE, Wi-Fi and TETRA networks. The software can communicate with the control center via LTE and Wi-Fi networks. In the absence of mobile network coverage, the software can also ensure communication via the TETRA network.
