Russia radio manufacturer Joint-stock company "concern "sozvezdie" (usual as JSC "Concern "Sozvezdie") is a subsidiary of the Russian state-owned holding company Rostec and has become the class 1 member of the Digital Mobile Radio(DMR) Association.
DMR is the European Open Standard for Digital Radio Communications. Thanks to the membership of the association, the addition of JSC “Concern “Sozvezdie” will be able to influence the development of DMR and implement its technical solutions in standard and developed equipment.
JSC“Concern “Sozvezdie” products will be certified, DMR compliant, and the company will be entitled to use the association's logo. No additional compatibility testing is required with equipment from other manufacturers certified by the association.
The members of the association are divided into three categories: "manufacturers", "application developers, system integrators, test equipment manufacturers" and "users, regulators and operators". JSC “Concern “Sozvezdie” enters the first category of “manufacturers.” Therefore, company representatives will be able to participate in all meetings of the DMR Association, including marketing and technical meetings of the working group, and have the right to vote at each meeting. “There is another very important step for foreign markets entering civilian high-tech radios,” said Vladimir Markovic, director of the scientific research center at Sozvezdie. "The certification of the association for the development of DMR radios will enable us not only to start providing equipment for newly deployed professional radiocommunication systems, but also as part of the DMR radio network already used by consumers."
Today, along with JSC “Concern “Sozvezdie”, the DMR Association includes approximately 125 global radio equipment manufacturers such as Motorola Solutions, Hytera, Vertex Standard, Tait Communications, 3M, etc. The association aims to make the DMR standard a legacy and cluster Priorities for digital radiocommunication users. The organization is committed to overcoming barriers to device compatibility from different manufacturers.
