On May 5, 1940, the main meeting place was the red lee room, which became China's first amateur radio day. Participants included amateur radio stations in Chengdu, Kunming, Guilin, Chongqing and other places. In September of the same year, the China Amateur Radio Association was established on the basis of the wartime service group of Chinese amateur radio personnel.
Since 1940, May 5 has become a festival for Chinese amateur radio enthusiasts. Chinese amateur radio enthusiasts will carry out a series of commemorative activities in various ways.
This year's China Amateur Radio Day is in the midst of a new coronavirus outbreak. In view of the current impact of the epidemic, the China Radio Association Amateur Radio Branch (CRAC) no longer organizes gathering operations, and encourages remote control of communications to avoid the spread of disease.
To this end, CRAC organized BnCRA (B1CRA, B2CRA, B3CRA, B4CRA, B5CRA, B6CRA, B7CRA, B8CRA, B9CRA, B0CRA) series of amateurs from 08:00 on May 1, 2020 to 20:00 on May 7, 2020. Radio stations carry out related communication activities.
